JAMMU, Mar 17: In a general body meeting of All J&K Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha held yesterday, it was decided to hold its election of Sabha.
This was disclosed by Vijay Lochan, president, All J&K Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha in addressing a press conference. He said that the tenure of sabha is going to end on April 15, 2014 and as per the provisions of Sabha constitution, it is the duty of existing body to hold election. By honouring the provisions of Constitution of sabha, an election board was constituted to start election process.
The election board members are Simar Dass, Mohan Lal Hans, Ranjit Kumar, Bodh Raj and Mulkh Raj Bangotra.
The presidents of branch sabhas and all Biradari members who participated in the general body meeting appreciated the existing sabha for initiating the process of election at right time. They also appreciated the existing body for development works, such as flooring of compound of gurudwara premises and other works.
The Vijay Lochan assured the Biradari members that the election of sabha will be conducted in fair and transparent manner strictly as per the provision of constitution of sabha.
Those who attended the press conference were Sham Sunder Basson, Mohan Lal Hans, Sham Lal Basson, Keser Singh, Mulkh Raj, Dev Raj, Puran Chand Atri, Sewa Dass Digra, D D Shivgotra, Kamal Kumar, Sat Paul Gorka, Kuldeep Sarangal, Des Raj Sarangal, Banarsi Dass, Ashok Thappa, Shashi Kumar, Piare LaL, G C Gogra, Parshotam Thapa and others.
