JAMMU, May 16: Police in Jammu District conducted an extensive traffic enforcement drive today.
During the daylong drive, 80 traffic challans across multiple locations were issued to the violators.
Police also seized 14 vehicles with 6 of them using modified silencers in direct violation of Motor Vehicle Regulations.
The crackdown on such modifications is a part of a broader strategy to curb noise pollution and enhance motor vehicle act compliance, a senior Traffic Police official said.
