JAMMU, Mar 20: A rare case of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) for a heavily calcified coronary artery was performed successfully by the cardiology team of Ujala Cygnus at JK Medicity here today.
The case was done successfully by the team of doctors, lead by cardiologist Dr. Najmus Saqib Shah. The JK Medicity is the first hospital to perform such case in pvt set up in Jammu.
The patient was suffering from chronic unstable angina and due to heavy calcification in his coronary artery he was refused treatment by many centres, but because of our expert cardiology team and exposure to latest advances in cardiology the patient was offered a new technique for his treatment called IVL was performed successfully and a precious life was saved.
