JAMMU, Mar 18: Government of Jammu and Kashmir today constituted a Screening Committee for examining proposals of various departments seeking clarifications/ exemptions in light of the instructions related to Model Code of Conduct, notified by the Election Commission of India.
The committee, headed by the Chief Secretary, shall examine and forward such proposals to Election Commission of India through the Chief Electoral Officer, J&K while the concerned Administrative Secretary to whom the proposal pertains shall place the same before the committee.
Administrative Secretary of the concerned department to which the proposal relates and Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department, are Members of the Screening Committee.
