JAMMU, Feb 16: Jammu State Morcha (JSM) MLA from Bishnah, Ashwani Sharma today voiced concern over neglect of local scientists in the appointment of Vice Chancellor of Sher-i-Kashmir University for Agriculture Sciences and Technology (SKUAST).
Raising the issue during Question Hour, Mr Sharma displayed a copy of the Excelsior saying the Panel prepared for selection as the Vice Chancellor didn’t carry the name of any local scientist.
He said earlier also the Vice Chancellors from outside have been appointed in the SKUAST-J. Some of them, he alleged, were involved in recruitment and other scandals.
He demanded that a local scientist should be appointed as Vice Chancellor of SKUAST-J.
