NC’s Women Wing convention at Kathua

JAMMU, Feb, 5: State vice president of Women Wing of J&K National Conference Bimla Luthra today said that NC is sole guarantor for welfare of the masses especially the women folk, and if people will pave way for this party to enter power corridors in J&K, their problems will vanish forever.
Addressing a meeting of Party’s women workers at Kathua today, Luthra said the National Conference is the sole guarantor of people’s interests. NC cadre has to maintain close contact with the people for knowing their problems and finding ways to resolve them on priority.
She asserted that the women’s wing has always watered the values of the National Conference and is like a strong pillar which always stood by the party leadership to make it a force to reckon with in J&K.
Earlier, the District president apprised the senior NC functionaries about pitiable condition and the problems related to widow pension, inflation, kitchen budget and above all sky-rocketing prices of essentials besides unemployment in J&K.
She castigated BJP leadership over its failure to contain inflation in the country. “Household budgets are dwindling under directionless policies of helmsmen but there is no one to rectify the same”, she said, adding that women are the worst sufferers of unprecedented rise in prices of essential commodities.
Senior leader Satwant Kaur Dogra, said that quantum of miseries of women folk in Jammu and Kashmir is increasing day by day just because of unending misdeeds of BJP leadership and its rule. She said that present dispensation has expertise in giving big slogans and making lofty promises, which are not meant for fulfillment.
Laxmi Dutta, senior NC leader, said that NC is a secular party and that is the reason behind its popularity in the entire UT unlike BJP, which has no presence in some pockets. The BJP leaders always fearing defeat due to non-delivery to people. She asked the party cadre to continue with the good work by remaining in touch with the people.
