JAMMU, Jan 17: ARTO Udhampur Romesh Smotra today held a meeting with Traffic Police, NCC cadets, transporters and volunteers to ensure that traffic guidelines are strictly enforced.
Besides Smotra, the meeting was attended among others by Arun Kotwal, DySP Traffic, Darshan Kumar, Assistant Director Planning, representatives of schools, NGOs and transporters and NCC cadets.
Smotra called upon the transporters and local people to observe traffic guidelines by wearing helmets and seat belts and don’t consume alcohol while driving. He said there should be no overloading and overcrowding in any of the vehicles.
He said the commuters violating guidelines of Motor Vehicles Department and Traffic Police will have to face action.
