Srinagar, Dec 2: The cultural program ‘Meeras’ was organized today by the Shahr e Khaas Literary & Cultural Welfare Society (SKLCWS) in collaboration with Jammu & Kashmir Art Culture and Languages (JKAACL) and Angel’s Cultural Academy at Tagore Hall.
The cultural event aimed to inspire the youth towards Kashmiri culture, nurturing a passion to preserve and celebrate its beauty, the organizers said.
“The event saw enthusiastic participation from a large number of youth, showcasing their talents in various segments such as folk songs, drama, Ladishah, mimicry, Sufi songs, Rouff, and folk dance,” SKLCWS said.
The diverse programs left the audience delighted, and expressions of gratitude were extended to the organizers for orchestrating such a vibrant and culturally rich event.
Attendees emphasized the need for increased youth engagement in similar programs, stressing the importance of continuing to organize such fruitful events in the future.
Distinguished individuals who attended the event included Farooq Renzu Shah, Dr. Farooq Anwaar Mirza, SHO Maisuma Jonesh Verma, SHO Shergari Showkat Ali, DYSP Srinagar Faisal Bin Rouf, G.R Akhoon, Dr. Syed Iftikhar Ahmad, Dr. Mohammad Rafeeq Khan, Ajaz ul Ramzan, and other dignitaries.
The event, hosted by the renowned motivational speaker Junaid ul Islam, also witnessed the presence of eminent artists and personalities from Kashmir.
Attendees commended the artists for their outstanding performances, and awards were distributed to participants, sponsors, and media persons at the conclusion of the program.
Tariq Ahmad Shera, President of Angel’s Cultural Academy & SKLCWS, expressed gratitude in a special vote of thanks, assuring that more such programs would be organized in the future.
