JAMMU, Nov 15: A special drive against e-Rickshaws was launched by Traffic Police City Jammu today under the supervision of SSP Traffic Fiesel Qureshi and Additional SP Rajpaul Singh.
The drive was conducted allover the city. DySP Traffic city South, North and Rural, Vikram Kumar, Farha Nishat and Satish along with their teams laid special nakas at various locations.
During the drive, various documents were checked like Driving License, insurance and RC. A total of 106 challans were issued and 16 e-Rickshaws were seized for plying without proper documents under various Sections of MV act.
Traffic police city Jammu has asked all the e-Rickshaw drivers to follow the route allocated to them and abide by the traffic rules while also ensuring not to overcharge and overlaod the passengers. Also, they were asked to affix number plate and complete all necessary formalities with Regional Transport Office before plying on the routes.
