Over 150 bags of low quality cement seized, 2 held

JAMMU, Jan 16: Police today seized over 150 bags of low quality cement packed in Ambuja and ACC Cement bags and arrested two persons from Talab Tillo.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police team from police station Nowabad and police post Talab Tillo jointly conducted a raid in a cement shop at Priyadarshini Lane, Talab Tillo.
During the raid, police recovered 169 bags of low grade cement packed in the bags of Ambuja and ACC cement.
The dealer used to sell the low grade cement packed in the bags of Ambuja and ACC cement to make illegitimate profits.
Two persons identified as owner of the shop Subhash Chander, son of Ram Lal of Lane-1, Priyadarshini Lane, Talab Tillo and his associate Vijay Kumar, son of Des Raj of Akhnoor were arrested.
A case under FIR number 8/14 under Section 420 RPC, 3/13 HP Act has been registered at police station Nowabad in this regard and investigation started.
Police team headed by SHO Jai Pal Sharma and SI Vikrant Singh made the arrests.
