IAF chief visits Leh

NEW DELHI, Jan 13:

IAF chief Arup Raha today visited the Leh-Ladakh sector in Jammu and Kashmir and reviewed the progress of significant infrastructure projects which are coming up close to the Line of Actual Control.
The Air chief, who was briefed by Corps Commander Lt Gen Rakesh Sharma, also interacted with Army personnel with a view to ensuring better coordination on the ground, a defence spokesperson said here.
Leh Air Force Commander R Isser also briefed Raha, who was on his first visit to the area, about the progress of the infrastructure projects in the Leh-Ladakh sector.
“Our air warriors are performing exceptionally well under very harsh geographical conditions… (They) are committed to ensuring that supplies to forward areas are not affected adversely, even during bad weather,” he said. (PTI)
