JAMMU, Jan 9: The people of Lower Kot area are bound to live in darkness for over a one week due to some fault in the power transformer and the concerned PDD officials instead of rectifying the fault are adopting the dealying tactics.
“Eight days have been passed waiting for the restoration of power supply but despite approaching the concerned higher officials of PDD, we get nothing but hollow assurances from them”, said 70 years old Param Chand, Panch of the area.
He said that students are the worst sufferers, who when come back home from school in the evening, can not revise their lessons in the absence of light. We approached the concerned higher officials of PDD with our problem, but till now we got nothing but assurances, he added and urged the Chief Engineer, PDD, to intervene into the matter to restore power in the area.
