JAMMU, Jan 9: The EWS Colony Buta Nagar is facing complete black out for last four days after the local transformer near Chandi Mata temple developed a snag.
According to inhabitants of the area the authorities the PDD shifted the transformer for replacing it by another one on the next day but since then the new transformer has not been installed in the area.
The residents have taken up the issue with concerned officers of the Department who assured them that the transformer will be installed at an earliest but nothing was done which has resulted into a lot of resentment among the people there.
The residents of the area said that there are some chronic patients as well as old aged persons living in the colony and their survival has become difficult without the power. They said it is unfortunate that despite paying hefty power bills the Department has failed to restore the power supply in the locality.
