MENDHAR, Oct 10: National Conference activists held a strong protest demonstration against the BJP led Government at Mendhar town today.
The protest demonstration was organised on the call given by of All Party against the BJP Government demanding holding of Assembly elections and restoration of Statehood and democracy in Jammu and Kashmir.
The protest demonstration was held in the town here under the chairmanship of former National Conference MLA and senior leader Javed Ahmed Rana in which he and his supporters were holding placards with slogans written against the government.
The protest march started from the NC office, and passed through various markets of Mendhar and ended at Shaheedi Yadghar Chowk. Slogans were raised by the protesters against the Central Government and the Election Commission.
While talking to the media Javed Rana targeted the Central government and alleged that BJP Govt has committed murder of democracy in J&K The people have been terrorised through agencies including ED and CBI. Rana alleged that the entire system has deteriorated during BJP tenure.
