Migrants highlight problems before visiting team

JAMMU, Oct 10: To settle the problems of the Jagti township a team of Relief organisation on the directives of Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, K K Sidha visited the Jagti township today to study the problems of the inmates there and take appropriate action to settle them.
The team was headed by Assistant Commissioner, Reyaz Ahmad and Zonal Officer, Dr Syed Namaz Shah. Its other members included AEE R&B and other staff.
The visiting team took stock of the problems being faced by the camp inmates, the officers also heard the grievances of the camp dwellers and instructed all the concerned to follow the instructions and guidelines properly. Both officers were accompanied by the Jagti Migrants Welfare Movement members who requested the officer to visit the camp.
JMWM put forth the following demands before the officers. Repair and renovation of the buildings and their roof top, proper sanitation of the camp especially back side drains, as most of the drains are full of garbage and people are facing bad smell, repair, renovation, levelling and plantation in the parks, repair and renovation of the main drains and by lane drains, installation of the street lights, repair and renovation of the community halls and regular water supply be ensured and flour which has been stopped be immediately released.
The migrants also expressed their gratitude to RRCM for providing on line service facilities and e-office service in the department.
