SAMBA, Sept 19: Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Government Degree College, Samba organised a function here today on Gandhi’s legacy of truth and non-violence.
The patriotic song competition was a component of the calendar of activities framed by Higher Education Department in order to acquaint the students with the rich legacy of Gandhian philosophy.
Students of the different disciplines showed a great deal of enthusiasm and actively participated in the singing competition. Principal, Dr. Twinkle Suri apprised the students of the immense contribution made by Mahatma Gandhi in India’s freedom struggle. The string of activities commenced with the screening of a movie on Gandhi’s life and philosophy for students along with an educational visit to a public library organized by the Department of Political Science.
