JAMMU, Sept 7: Bus Stand Police today arrested a drug peddler along with 15 kg of Poppy straw.
“A team of Police Station Bus Stand led by SHO Inspector Vishal Dogra rounded up a suspected person namely Shinder Kaur wife of Gurdeep Singh, resident of Punjab during patrolling duty in the area under its jurisdiction,” a Police spokesman said.
He said during search of belongings of the suspect, 15 kg of Poppy straw was recovered, which was seized on the spot. “In this regard, a case FIR Number 51/2023 U/S 8/15/NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Bus Stand and the accused arrested,” the spokesman said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
