NEW DELHI, Dec 26:Cardamom prices rose by 0.44 per cent to Rs 678.10 per kg in futures trade today after speculators enlarged positions supported by good buying in the spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for January contracts rose by Rs 3, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 678.10 per kg, with a trading volume of 149 lots.
The spice for delivery in February was trading up by Rs 2.70, or 0.38 per cent, to Rs 706 per kg, with a business volume of 27 lots.
Traders said rising export and spot demand against restricted arrivals from producing regions mainly influenced cardamom prices at futures market. (AGENCIES)
