Kali Dass elected chairman, Sham president of Barwala Biradari

JAMMU, July 23: Barwala Biradari members residing in and outside Jammu Province today gathered at Aijal Malal village of District Jammu in a congregation to elect office bearers of the Biradari to represent aspirations of community members and address various issues confronting members of the Biradari.
Members presented at this moment had threadbare discussion on the issues related to the welfare of the Biradari, employment share, economic condition along with social status of the families of the Biradari. Political representation and other issues were also discussed.  Members after detailed discussion, decided to elect new team for the Biradari with dedicated and honest members who can set agenda for future generations. It was also decided to have election for the team after every two years.
On the occasion, members of the Biradari unanimously elected Kali Dass as chairman, Biru Mal as vice chairman and Sham Lal as president by raising their hands in the gathering. Those who were elected vice presidents include Sham Lal, Mohan Lal, Romesh Chander, Capt Gopal Dass, Rattan Lal, Kuldeep Raj, Kali Dass, Suraj Parkash, Om Parkash, Baku Ram, Mohal Lal, Om Parkash, Bir Kumar, Tara Chand, Bachano Devi and Sema Devi.
General secretaries elected on the occasion include Jagu Radha, Mukesh Kumar, Gopal Dass, Bandana Devi, Arti Devi, Seema Devi, Labha Ram, Roshni Devi, Skinder Lal, Rohit Kumar, Bachan Lal, Gorkha Ram, Ramesh Lal, Adan Lal, Suresh Kumar, Billa Ram, Mohinder Kumar, Pawan Singh, Raj Kumar, Jyoti Devi, Gabar Singh, Baldev Raj, Sawarn Lal, Sarfo Devi, Badmo Devi and Tarsem Lal.
Further, elected tehsil presidents include Isher Dass, Hoshyar Chand, Sai Dass, Dalawar Singh, Sat Paul, Sardar Chand, Kartal Chand, Mohinder Kumar, Romesh Chander, Jagu Ram were elected cashiers.
