JAMMU, Dec 17: To discuss the long pending issues of the Plus 2 community, a meeting of the All J & K Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum was held, here today, under the chairmanship of Forum president N S Jamwal.
The meet discussed the issue of regularization of Joint Directors/CEOs and Principals which is pending for the last six years and need to addressed as early as possible so that they do not suffer any more.
The participants were informed that the Deputy Chief Minister and Minister Incharge School Education Tara Chand, Secretary School Education Department, Directors School Education, Jammu and Kashmir were taking sincere steps for finalizing and publishing the tentative list of lecturers. They hoped that the final list of lectures to Senior lecturers would be issued very soon and add another dimensions to sincere and earnest efforts of the Deputy Chief Minister and other senior officers of the Education Department who have put their all efforts in ordering the promotions of all cadres of teaching and non teaching staff right from class IV to Joint Directors.
The lecturers were asked to submit their objection in the tentative seniority list if any to the Civil Secretariat within the stipulated time to expedite the finalization of the seniority list of lecturers
The Forum appreciated the efforts for inviting suggestions from the public with regard to implementation of Right to Education (RTE) Act in the State and termed it as a step in the right direction.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting include Charan Dass, Ashwani Sharma, Manmeet Bali, Tarsem Singh, Talib Hussain, Suresh Kumar and Deepak Sharma.
