SRINAGAR, July 16: The 6th Annual Healthcare Summit-2023, held in Chennai and organized by Venus International Foundation, has recognized Dr Showkat Hussain Tali with the “Best Researcher in Pediatrics” award.
Dr Tali, an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Neonatologist at GMC Anantnag, was honoured for his outstanding contributions to the field.
Dr Tali, who is also the first national board-certified neonatologist from Kashmir, has been actively engaged in presenting his research findings on a global platform.
He has garnered recognition and accolades throughout his career, including the National Research Talent Award in 1997, the Creative Writing Award from the Help Foundation and the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation in 2006, the EET-CRS Young Faculty Award in 2017, and the First Place Award for Paper Presentation at the 7th Arab Neonatal Care Conference in Dubai in the same year.
In addition, Dr Tali received the Emerging Professional of India Award in 2022, the Best Young Researcher Award in 2022, the Global Icon Award in 2023, the Appreciation Award from the WHO state branch in 2022, the Best Book Award in 2023, and the APJ Abdul Kalam Inspirational Award in 2023. These accolades exemplify his dedication to advancing the field of paediatrics and neonatology.
The award ceremony was attended by distinguished national and international academics who acknowledged Dr Tali’s exceptional research contributions and commitment to improving child healthcare.
Speaking about the honour, Dr Tali expressed his gratitude, stating, “It is an honour to receive this prestigious award. More than achievements, it is a recognition of my hard work and determination for a noble cause.”
