                          ‘The Crownless King of Kings
When on a summer day amid sudden showers of rains,
Comes a running flutter from road and lanes;
And when on Ram Navmi procession or Janam Ashtami,
Or on Idd new-attired crowds we see.
Such were the crowds; All going to see;
The crownless King of Kings ‘Mahatma Gandhi;
Running, walking, cycling, in all looked Yug;
Briskly going for the place some seven miles away.
The people sang that Ram came in Satya Yugi;
Krishan in Dawapuryug and Gandhi in Kalayug;
I had seen his framed photo on the room-wall;
His clothes were his skin only and nothing at all;
His loin cloth was just a yard of Khaddar
In photo, he looked rains deeply in thought and quite humble,
In wondered how thisting man’s hold was forceful.
I was twelve running to see Mahatma Gandhi
Everywhere he was adored by everybody
In pin-drop silence people heard him at Barzul
Every word he uttered left on impact full.
I looked fixed at him; he was the same;
Weak and older now as I saw him in photo-frame;
These words I still remember, he said.

                Pension is a fruit Tree
The pensioner waters long,
The pension’s fruit tree,
In the old age, he will get,
Fruit easily and free.
If the guard is careless,
And over looks the job,
The fruit  is mis – handled,
To favour the snob.
The leaves fall off,
And the branches are smashed,
The roots become weak,
And trunk  is slashed.
The owner is dissuaded,
And the tenants enjoy,
They are the occupants,
Whom the farmers deploy.
The pensioner is losing,
The charm and leisure,
The comforts are absent,
Giving tension and displeasure.
The lack of attention,
Will make the tree dry,
When the needs compell,
The pensioners will cry.
The employees failed,
In their genuine fight,
How the pensioners can hope?
For justice and right.
All are losing hope,
For sympathy and sincerity,
Selfishness and domination,
Are getting priority.
Only ‘God’ can lead,
To failure or success,
We should  pray to ‘God’,
A unique access.
