SRINAGAR : Property worth crores of rupees has been destroyed in a major fire at Sopore in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, official sources said here today.
They said fire broke out in a house at Sopore, 55 km from here in north Kashmir. However, before the fire tenders could douse the flames, fire spread to nearby houses. Two nearby buildings of Auqaf were also damaged in the fire.
Sources said twelve houses and other household goods were reduced to ashes in the fire, cause of which was not known.
No one was injured, they added. (AGENCIES)
