Two held with heroin

JAMMU, Apr 10: Two persons were arrested in this District today along with 10.90 grams of heroin, police said.
They said 3.90 grams of heroin was recovered by a team of Police Station Nagrota led by SHO concerned Vishav Partap Singh assisted by incharge Police Post Sidhra, PSI Arun Kumar during naka checking at Naka Point, Tawi Bridge, Sidhra.
One accused arrested in this case identified as Gourav Kumar of Pardhal, Katra, Reasi has been booked under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, police said.
Meanwhile, a team of Police Station Peer Mitha led by SDPO North, Sunil Kesar assisted by SHO concerned, Inspector Mohammad Rashid and Incharge Police Post Gujjar Nagar, PSI Ahsin Khan recovered 7 grams of heroin from one Muzzaffar Khan of Karwa, Banihal, at present Gujjar Nagar, during naka checking at Graveyard area.
The accused in this case has been booked in case FIR number 18/2023 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Peer Mitha.
“Further investigations are underway in both the cases of the recovery of the consignment,” police said.
