JAMMU, Apr 5: The Jammu and Kashmir Excise and State Taxes Employees Welfare Society (JKESTW) has appealed to LG Manoj Sinha to issue the 4% DA order without any delay.
The President of the Society, Vijay Sharma, a retired DC, has urged the UT Government of Jammu and Kashmir to follow in the footsteps of the Union Territory of Ladakh and facilitate the drawl of 4% DA for its employees.
In a statement, he said that the Union Cabinet had sanctioned the hike a month ago, and the Union Territory of Ladakh has already raised the DA from 38% to 42% for its employees.
“However, the Jammu and Kashmir UT Government is yet to issue the order to sanction the increased Dearness Allowance at par with its neighbouring UT,” he said.
Sharma emphasized the urgency of the matter, stating that the increased amount of DA would greatly benefit the employees and enable them to celebrate their festival with greater ease. He also expressed hope that the order will be issued in the month of April.
