SRINAGAR, Nov 17: One person was killed and five others injured in different road accidents across the Valley today.
A police spokesman said a Scooty JK01U/3374 meet with an accident near SKICC, resulting in critical injuries to the scooterist Abid Rafeeq Sodagar son of Mohammad Rafiq and Amir Sajad son of Sajad Ahmad Sodagar residents of Dhobighat, Hazratbal. Both the injured were shifted to SMHS, Srinagar where Abid Rafiq succumbed to his injuries.
A Tavera JK01F/6915 turned turtle at Saasyar, resulting in injuries to driver of the vehicle Irshad Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Rashid Bhat resident of Surasyar Chadoora and a passenger Abdul Gani son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Surasyar Chadoora. Both the injured were shifted to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar.
A Maruti car JK03A/2294 hit and injured a pedestrian, Mohammad Anwar Bhat son of Aziz Bhat of Sheeripora near Khyar-Kadipora in Anantnag district. The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment.
In another accident, a Wagon-R PB02B/DL888 hit and injured 65 years old Ghulam Mohammad Bhat son of Lassa Bhat resident of Akingam, Anantnag at Akingam. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
The spokesman said police has registered cases in these accidents.
