JAMMU, Mar 22: All Jammu Auto Operators Association here today held a meeting under the chairmanship of Association president, Shanti Saroop Gupta and S. Rajinder Singh.
The Association leaders expressed concern over the e-rickshaws plying in areas for which they are not permitted thereby affecting the work of other autos.
They also said that e-rickshaws even charge like normal-autos and violate the rates prescribed for them.
“DC Jammu has issued a list of routes for e-rickshaws through RTO Jammu for the areas where there is no transport facility for the public but the e-rickshaws even venture into those areas of Jammu for which routine autos have been already permitted to work,” they maintained.
Association leaders also said that the concerned authorities should intervene into the matter else they will go for a strike.
