DODA, Mar 22: A woman was killed and seven others were hurt in a road accident in Thathri near here today.
A police officer told Excelsior said that one vehicle of Duster make bearing registration number JKO6A-6939 coming from Kishtwar and moving towards Doda met with an accident near Grid Station Thathri leaving eight persons injured.
“The injured were shifted to hospital where a lady identified as Sushma Devi, wife of Bir Singh, resident of Bhaderwah succumbed to her injuries,” he said.
He identified injured persons as Sorav, 8; Gorav, 7; Charan Dass, 23; Rishi Kumar, 52; Kewal Kumar, 25; Ankush Kumar, 28 and Raksha Devi, 27-all residents of Bhagratha Bhalla, Bhaderwah.
Meanwhile police have taken cognizance and started investigation.
