JAMMU, Mar 13: Continuing its drive against the willful defaulters, Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has disconnected power connections of more than 100 industrial and commercial consumers whose arrears run into several lakhs of rupees. More big industrial houses who are also in the list of chronic defaulters will be taken to task in the next few days.
Official sources told EXCELSIOR that since the industries are being given top priority by the Government of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, JPDCL has made special efforts to provide continuous power to industries including dedicated feeders to ensure quality power.
However, in spite of such facilities several industrial houses are still not paying electricity dues on time although owners of such industries were sensitized towards paying electricity bills so that the power deficit could be reduced.
