JKEEU projects demands of power employees

JAMMU, Nov 18: The Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Employees Union (JKEEU) has urged upon the higher authorities in the department to issue orders of regularisation of PDL/TDL employees/workers and release their pending wages and conduct DPC of all the cadres including executive staff.
A meeting of the JKEEU was held here today under the chairmanship of Kulvir Singh, president Jammu province at Revenue Centre, Trikuta Nagar Jammu today wherein, the speakers expressed resentment over the attitude of the concerned higher authorities for ignoring the demands of Power employees.
They pointed out that Union took up the issues with the senior officers on several occasions but they only gave false assurances and nothing happened in this regard. The DPC of the lower staff has not been conducted for the last over 14 years which is mockery of the system. They claimed that the employees are being forced to resort to agitational path.
Seeking intervention of the Principal Secretary, Power Development Department, the Union strongly demanded conduct of DPC of all the cadres, regularisation of PDL/TDL workers, release pending wages of the workers since 2020, issue seniority list of PDL/TDL Jammu Province workers, upgradation of Meter Readers post, retention of Meter Readers in Service Recruitment Rules, implementation of SRO- 149 and conversion of salary of the employees from grant-in-aid to treasury system
