JAMMU, Nov 4: Work of blacktopping was started by Corporator Anil Kumar in Maharishipuram and Khoo Gali of Ward 68 today.
Residents of the area expressed their pleasure that the development of streets took place after a long time in the area.
Prominent citizens- Capt. Girdhari Lal, Capt. Ashok Choudhary, Capt. Sham, Raju Chib, Narender Jasrotia, Raj Mohd. and S. Tarlok Singh thanked the Corporator, engineers and other R&B staff for executing the work.
Corporator Anil assured that soon work of repairing drains and culverts will be taken up. The residents of the locality on this occasion, also raised the demand for new water pipes to replace old worn pipes.
