NC demands setting up of task force to control lumpy skin disease

RAMBAN, Oct 9: National Conference leader and district president Ramban Mir Sajjad Shaheen has expressed grave concern over the rapid spread of lumpy skin disease in district Ramban particularly in Banihal and Gool areas and has demanded mass vaccination of cattle to contain the rapid spread of the highly contagious disease.
He said that there is no let up in the viral animal disease in entire Banihal and its adjoining areas resulting into death of number of animals.
He has appealed to the Lt Governor led administration to consider vaccination all the cattle to contain the spread of disease.
Shaheen has also called for setting up of a task force to control lumpy skin disease in the district.
He has also appealed to the Government to extend compensation to the farmers whose cattle have died due to this disease.
