JAMMU, Oct 3: Chief Orthopedic Surgeon of Amandeep Hospital, Dr. Avtar Singh conducted an instructional course on Robotic Knee Replacement in Bangalore.
It was one day educative course organized on September 12, 2022 at Ramaiah Medical College, Advanced Learning Centre.
The training programme helped the participating surgeons understand technical steps in robotic-assisted total knee replacement.
It also consisted of a CORI-assisted TKA cadaver demonstration and workshop.
Highly regarded as world’s first Punjabi Surgeon to perform robotic knee surgery, Dr. Avtar Singh trained eight orthopedic surgeons from India during this cadaver-based course.
“It was an honour to be able to share my experience with other surgeons,” said Dr. Avtar Singh adding: “I hope that this course will help them to provide their patients the best possible care.”
It is noteworthy that Dr. Avtar Singh is a veteran surgeon who has performed over 20,000 joint replacement surgeries.
He has also trained countless surgeons worldwide during his career.
