Assly witnesses noisy scenes, Question-Hour disrupted

SRINAGAR :  Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly (LA) today witnessed noisy scenes, disrupting Question-Hour for about 20 minutes.
Before the Speaker Mubarak Gul took up the first question of the Question-Hour, members from all opposition political parties created a ruckus.
Despite being repeatedly asked to resume seat by Mr Gul, the members continued shouting.
“Let the House take up the Question-Hour as not even a single question was discussed since the autumn session started on September 30,” the Speaker said.
However, it had no impact on members who wanted to raise their issues.
“If I will allow any member from any party, then I have to allow others also which will badly affectS the Question-Hour,” he said and pleaded the members to resume their seats.
However, to restore order in the House, Mr Gul decided to allow one member from each party before taking up the normal  business.
But trouble started again when the Speaker allowed BJP member Ashok Khajuria to speak ahead of main opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The PDP members wanted that leader of the opposition Mehbooba Mufti should be allowed to speak first. However, Ms Mufti asked her party members to resume seats and let Mr Khajuria to initiate.
