Special drive launched against overloading by passenger vehicles

KISHTWAR, Sept 3: Chatroo Police launched a special drive against overloading by passenger vehicles.
As per official spokesman, a team from Police Station Chatroo led by SHO Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed along with his team launched special drive against overloading by passenger vehicles.
During the drive, two FIRs have been registered, 5 vehicles were seized and 60 vehicles were challaned for overloading and endangering life of others.
SSP Kishtwar Shafqat Hussain Batt has warned all the vehicles operators of the district of strictest action against the menace of overloading. He added that traffic violators are directly or indirectly responsible for causing fatal road accidents leading to the loss of precious lives.
He also appealed to parents who let their underage children to drive scooties, motorcycles, etc to refrain from such negligent acts. He further said that the drive will continue till the violators get channelized to follow the traffic rules.
