JAMMU, Sept 1: Sri Sanatan Dharma Sabha (SSDS) of Jammu Kashmir gave away awards to various tableaus in a welcome programme which was organized by the Sabha in Geeta Bhawan Parade here, today.
The mementos were given to the tableaus taken out on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami at an award giving ceremony organsied by SSDS. Sunil Sharma of Akhil Bharatiya Dharma Prachar Seva Samiti got first prize in the form of an attractive and grand procession, Second prize was given to Anil Masoom of Divan Mandir and third prize was given to Gulshan Mahajan of Shri Sanatan Dharma Natak Samaj.
On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, a total of 14 tableaus came out from Gita Bhawan under the supervision of Shri Sanatan Dharma Sabha, which had reached Shri Raghunath Ji temple while visiting various markets. Apart from this, Vedic Student Veda Mandir, Deepak Kumar Sound System, Divya Jyoti, Jagriti Sainik Colony, Bapu Asa Ram Bhagwati Nagar, Praja Pati Brahmakumari BC Road, ISKCON, Dream City Muthi, The tableaux brought out by Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, Ambala and Maharani Tarawanti Trust were honored with encouraging mementos.
On this occasion, president of Shri Sanatan Dharma Sabha, Purushottam Dadhichi, complimented all the people of Jammu for participating in the Shobha Yatra and making it a grand success. While addressing he said that such grand programs should be organized to promote Sanatan Dharma and to make the coming generations aware of it is need. While on the one hand the Sanatan Dharma Culture gets promoted and coming future generations are getting linked to their roots and they are also made aware about their religion & tradition. He said that Shri Sanatan Dharma Sabha has been organizing and promoting the tableaus every year so that a message goes inside the society for the upliftment and awakening of Sanatan. Such journeys and floats strengthen our society, he added.
On this occasion, Prabhat Singh, general secretary, Sanat Dharma Sabha, while welcoming everyone said that with such encouragement, many more tableaus would emerge in the coming times, which would enthusiastically participate in such events.
Sanatan Dharma Sabha secretary Pawan Baddu, Dilip Gupta, Bodh Raj Sharma and many other officials were also present on the occasion.
