KATHUA, Aug 8: Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal today succeeded in recovering the dead body of the third person who was washed away along with his associates in the flash flood that occurred in Tarnah river on July 31 this year.
Police said a team of Border Police Post (BPP) Chakra and Police Post (PP), Sanyal under the supervision of SDPO Border, Pankaj Soodan and Inspector, Sunil Kumar SHO Police Station, Hiranagar during search and checking duty in its jurisdictional area near Gurah Sarkari found the dead body of who was washed away in a flash flood in Tarnah river on July 31. He was identified as Dev Raj, 50, son of Naseeb Chand of Sallan. Thereafter the dead body has been sent to SDH Hiranagar for post mortem and after completing all legal formalities the body has been handed over to the legal heirs for completing his last rites.
