JAMMU, Aug 8: Academic Council of Government College for Women, Parade Ground, Jammu, which met under the chairmanship of Dr S P Sarwat, Principal of the College, approved all the items listed on the agenda after threadbare discussion on the same.
Dr S P Sarwat apprised the Council of the grant of the extension of autonomous status to the college by University Grant Commission (UGC) for another five years. He also gave a detailed presentation on the implementation of NEP 2020 in College.
Member Secretary, Dr Sonia Khajuria initiated the proceedings and presented the agenda items besides opening the floor for discussion.
Co-ordinator IQAC, Prof Shayat Dhar read report on the achievements of College in the first phase of Autonomy. He also highlighted the role of IQAC in the overall development of the College.
In the report, he also mentioned the former Principal of College, Dr Hemla Aggrawal and IQAC Co-ordinator, Dr Neeraj Gupta for their contribution towards the grant of Autonomous status of the College.
The meeting was attended by the HoDs of various subjects, senior members nominated by the Principal, External members: – Prof R K Ganjoo and Prof Ajay Abrol, Co-ordinator IQAC.
