JAMMU, Sept 23: The BJP team of three office bearers led by in charge Cells, Sat Sharma (CA) that returned after the exhaustive tour of violence hit Kishtwar district accused the State Government of its failure in paying compensation to the people for their losses.
Talking to media persons here, today after their return the three members of the team who besides, Mr Sharma included party secretary, Munish Sharma and spokesperson Sanjeev Sharma urged the Government to pay full compensation of the losses suffered by the people on war footing basis.
The Government despite making assurances has failed to pay compensation, said Sat Sharma. He demanded that minorities in the district be ensures security and harassment of the minorities living in far flung areas of the district be stopped and no member of the community in future be booked on flimsy charges.
He demanded that after completion of the probe by the Committee constituted by the Government, its recommendations be implemented in a time frame and the report be also got published.
He also demanded action under law against the people spreading canards against the VDCs. He said the VDCs have done a commendable job in containing militancy in the hilly reaches of Jammu region.
