Democratically elected Govt designed to listen people: NC

SRINAGAR, July 25: National Conference (NC) today claimed that delay in revival of democracy and use of force to establish peace and tranquillity in J&K will have far reaching effects in the region.
NC general secretary, Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal while addressing party functionaries, delegates and workers from Langate, Dara, Harwan and Faqir Gujri who called on him here at NC Headquarters said that bureaucratic setup is not designed to listen people as a democratically elected Government does so.
“People across the length and breadth of J&K have pinned their hopes on us. They want us to take up the mantle. We too have to walk extra mile to rise to their expectations,” he said adding: “NC has long been a thorn in the eyes of those forces that have from day one wanted to destroy our unique identity.”
