JAMMU, July 25: Jhajjar Kotli Police arrested two persons involved in a theft case.
As per police sources, on July 5 this year, a complaint was lodged by a woman namely Kashmira Bibi, wife of Zakir Hussain of village Palli Badsoo Tehsil Dansal with Police Station Jhajjar Kotli stating that some unidentified persons have stolen her two cattle and Rs 60,000 cash from her house, when she along with her family had gone to pay obeisance at the sacred Shadhra Sharief Shrine in District Rajouri.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 173/2022 under section 380 and 454 IPC was registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
During the course of the investigation, a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli led by SHO Inspector Vikram Sharma and assisted by PSI Sharaz Ahmed was constituted under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
The team put in hectic efforts and finally with the help of technical assistance and human intelligence arrested two thieves involved in the case.
The arrested persons were identified as Zulekha Bibi, wife of Farid Mohd of Batal Ballian District Udhampur, at present Badsoo Tehsil Dansal District Jammu and Shokat Ali, son of Feroz Din, a resident of Badsoo Tehsil Dansal District Jammu.
On their disclosure, two stolen buffaloes worth about Rs 80000 were recovered and questioning of the accused is going on to recover the stolen cash as the accused persons said that they utilised the stolen money.
Further investigation into the case is also going on.
