4 workers fell unconscious while cleaning plant in Camlin factory

SAMBA, July 24: Four workers became unconscious while cleaning the tank of the ETP Plant at Kokuyo Camlin factory in the First Phase of the Samba industrial area, this afternoon.
According to reports, as one worker went inside the tank to clean it, he became unconscious and when the others went inside to help him, they also fainted.
All the four were taken out of the tank and brought to the District Hospital (DH) Samba by other workers of the factory from where all were referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu after first aid. They all are local, who were identified is Vinod Kumar, 28, son of Nathu Ram of Radayal, Samba, Bachchan Lal, 28, son of Subhash Chandra of Rakh Amb Tali, Samba, Keshav Kumar, 25, son of Yashpal of Jatwal, Samba and Ajay Kumar, 26, son of Bansi Lal of Chak Medu,Samba.
At the same time taking cognizance of this context, the police have started further action. On the other hand, Dr NR Bhagat, the Medical Officer present in the Samba district hospital, said that these people have been victims of some poisonous chemical and their condition has worsened. He said that all have been referred to Jammu, out of which the condition of two is critical.
