JAMMU, Sept 17: Upper Roop Nagar Welfare Committee (URNWC), Sector 4 held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Narinder Sharma and discussed various problems being faced by the people of the area.
While speaking, Sharma flayed Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) for not taking any concrete steps for removing garbage from the area.
He said that there is no proper arrangement for dumping of garbage in the area and appealed the JMC to take steps for the same.
Sharma added that there is no transport facility in the area and the people including senior citizens have to cover two to three kilometers on foot for transport facility.
He urged Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Jammu to take immediate steps in this regards, so as to mitigate the sufferings of the people.
The meeting was attended by DK Sharma, vice president, Mahesh Sharma, general secretary, Ram Parkash Sharma, secretary and Susheel Gupta, cashier.
