SKUAST-J scientist gets ISAB Fellow Award

JAMMU, July 10: Dr Vikas Sharma, a scientis t of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Jammu (SKUAST-J) has bagged prestigious Fellow Award 2022 of Indian Society of Agricultural Biochemists (ISAB) for his research and academic contributions in the field of Biochemistry.
Working as an Associate Professor in the Division of Biochemistry, Faculty of Basic Sciences, SKUAST-J, Dr Vikas Sharma son of Harbans Lal Sharma and Pushplata Sharma of Channi Himmat (Jammu), is pursuing his research on the anticancer potential of medicinal plants from Jammu and Kashmir.
He has guided 12 PhD/MSc students as a Major Advisor, authored 4 books, published 81 popular articles on botanicals of J&K and 65 full length research papers in refereed journals of National and International repute. He has got many National and International awards from various Government organizations for his contributions in anticancer studies.
