RAJOURI, Sept 10: Students from Govt High School Azmatabad, supported by local people held protest at Thana-mandi against the State Education authorities today.
The students and their parents led by Sarpanch Fazal Hussain (chairman) and Dr Javed Khan Naib Sarpanch assembled near Shahdara Morh at Thanamandi town and started protest against the Director School Education Jammu and Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand besides CEO Rajouri. They alleged that at Govt High School Azmatabad there was only a Headmistress, a Teacher and Physical Education teacher against the sanctioned of 13 teachers. The students are badly affected while the ZEO and CEO besides the DSE Jammu were sleeping over the issue.
They raised slogans against the higher authorities and condemned their callous attitude. The agitating people warned to put a lock on the school if the teachers were not posted there to run the classes with in three days. They alleged that Shahdara Sharief Higher Secondary School was also facing the same problem and students and locals held protest against DSE and CEO besides Minister and despite assurance by CEO and DC the staff was not posted there.
Later, SDPO Mujib-ur-Rehman and Tehsildar Thannamandi, Farooq Khan talked to the agitating people. Later, they also discussed the issue with DC Rajouri and CEO who assured the agitating people to solve this problem within couple of days. Then they lifted protest dharna.
