POONCH, May 23: A villager was seriously injured in bear attack at Pagsar hamlet of Mandi tehsil of Poonch district last evening.
Officials sources said that incident took place when 52-years-old, Bashir Ahmed, son of Habib Joo resident of Dara Fetehpur had gone to graze cattle in the higher reaches of Pagsar. He was suddenly attacked by a full grown bear in forest area.
With serious injuries, the victim was later taken to Sub District Hospital Mandi by the locals. Doctors said, he was having multiple injuries and was further shifted to District Hospital, Poonch.
