JAMMU, May 23: Oncofacts, one of its kind initiatives on Caner awareness and education in India led by Jammu-based leading Radiation Oncologist Dr Vikas Roshan and co-founded by Kashmir-based medico cum noted columnist Dr Tasaduk Hussain Itoo today released 5th edition of its Cancer Magazine “Onco-Illuminati”.
The fifth edition of the Magazine focuses on important topics (written by multiple authors) for cancer awareness like common cancers in women with emphasis on risk factors and role of screening; gynaecological cancers and surgical treatment; role of flap reconstructive surgeries in oncology; introduction of robotics and role of robotic-assisted surgeries in cancer treatment; oesophageal cancer with its prevention; breast cancer with analyzing the role of chemotherapy in early breast cancer, including other topics.
The authors that contributed to the 5th edition include Dr Rahul Ghorkha, Dr Sandeep Mohan, Dr Manjiri Bakre, Dr Avinash Rajra, Dr Abhinav Choudhary, Dr Vikas Roshan and Dr Tasaduk Hussain Itoo.
Pertinent to mention here the Magazine was launched in May last year and the main purpose of it is to create mass awareness about cancer among people in general and to address the queries of cancer patients in particular. The Magazine can be accessed on official website oncofacts.in and shall be available in the print version with this edition onwards.
