DODA, Sept 3: Continuing its drive against bovine smuggling, District Police Doda foiled two bovine smuggling attempts in the intervening night of September 2-3, 2013, and rescued 22 bovines (10 from Bhalla and 12 from Bhagla Bharath area in the jurisdiction of Police Post Bhalla of Police Station Bhaderwah and Police Station Doda respectively).
Both the accused were arrested, the police said adding, they were identified as Sajjad Hussain, son of Talib Hussain, resident of Chabdee Dandi Bhalla, arrested in case FIR No 150/2013 u/s 188 RPC at Police Station Bhaderwah and Ghulam Nabi, son of Abdul Gani Malik, resident of Bharath, arrested in case FIR No 243/2013 u/s 188 RPC, 3 PCA of Police Station Doda.
