JAMMU, Sept 3: In view of the forthcoming elections of the central body of All J&K Diploma Engineers Association, Road and Building (R&B) Department today organized diploma engineers meet, in which engineers serving across all the engineering wings participated.
In the programme, the speakers and leaders from R&B, PDD, PHE, l&FC, Mechanical and allied departments addressed the gathering.
VK Trikha, presidential candidate while assuring the rank and file of the cadre for upholding the legacy that was earned by the outgoing team, appealed for their complete support on the basis of the reputation of the team led by him and evaluation of the realistic manifesto presented by them
He promised for engaging the prime endeavour of the team in utilizing the 771 posts of newly created AEs, exclusively as a pool for the diploma engineers as its career progression remained the prime essence of Cabinet memo before its approval.
JS Rathore, vice presidential candidate assured for obtaining relaxation of qualifying service bar for promotion to AEE and Xen ranks, so that the substantial no of posts which are being encroached upon by degree holders are restored back to the cadre.
Bayant Singh, candidate for secretary general asked the members to beware of concocted and exaggerated promises of some groups acting bereft of any coherence, alignment and pragmatic programme.
Kursheed-uI-lslam candidate in forthcoming elections from Mechanical Wing, out going president of the association, RS Jasrotia, secretary general Jugal Kishore and joint secretary RS Sudan also addressed the gathering.
