MENDHAR, Sept 3: The mohalla Dachal Dhera, which is a habitat of about 1000 people has been facing the apathy of the Power Development Department, as the power transformer of the village is out of order for last seven days forcing people belonging to the border area to spend their nights in dark.
A deputation of the village elders today met AEE, PDD, Sub-Division, Mendhar, and apprised him about the issue. The deputation said that the area has been reeling under complete darkness for the last seven days as the feeding transformer had damaged a week ago, which the Power Development Department (PDD) failed to repair or replace despite repeated requests and reminders by the people.
Moreover, the area did not get any water supply from one week due to the absence of power.
The deputation requested the concerned Minister to issue orders to the concerned officials to restore power and water supply in the area.
